Natural Foot Care

In the Western world, where toes are squashed into narrow, rigid footwear, many people end up seeking foot pain relief. The number of people with foot and ankle pain and injury is much lower in populations that wear minimal footwear such as sandals, flip-flops and even bare feet, allowing toes to correctly form.

Our feet are designed to be mobile, not encased in a narrow shoe with limited flexibility. Our toes should be spread out, and fully extended so we can walk and run fully balanced. In fact, modern footwear introduces two major changes to our feet:

  • Toes are compressed together and pushed up
  • Heel is raised about the ball of the foot

After time, the toes become deformed and leads to compromised muscle function in the feet, ankle and lower leg. This creates a ripple effect up through the knees, hip and even spine.

Common symptoms include:

  • Foot Arch Pain
  • Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome
  • Foot Heel Pain
  • Hammer Toe
  • Pain In Foot
  • Foot And Ankle Pain
  • Fallen Arches
  • Running Injuries
  • Plantar Fascia Problems And Plantar Fasciitis
  • Toe Pain

A common assumption by podiatric doctors (foot specialists) is that our feet are poorly designed and should be corrected with orthotics and surgeries. However, if we allow the feet to function as they’re designed, and return them to their natural state by lowering the heel and spreading the toes, many of these interventions become unnecessary. This can be accomplished by using Correct Toes spacers.

Correct Toes were designed by a podiatrist who also happens to be a runner that understands how the feet and toes should work optimally. Tested on hundreds of patients, Correct Toes spread the toes and place them in their correct and proper functional placement. Worn with wide toe box shoes, they can mimic the natural barefoot position.

Correct Toes are meant to be worn inside shoes during walking, running, hiking and standing – whenever! They can be a cost-effective alternative to expensive orthotics and invasive surgeries.
